When we placed our order as a party of two; we both clearly stated we wanted to start with sushi rolls, split a honey chicken, and add two egg rolls. We waited forever for our sushi. The egg rolls hit the table first, followed by the honey chicken. We were confused and asked about the sushi we ordered first. At first, our server stated that it really just depends on how busy each station is. She then switched tactics to blaming us and stating that if we wanted our sushi first that we needed to tell them that. At this point, I firmly stated that we both did in fact say that we wanted to start with sushi. It seemed as though at least one manager was running the order pickup station which grew steadily busier as we sat there. So, there was no opportunity to bring the issue to a managers attention. Having come from the restaurant industry myself (20+ years), blaming the customer for your mistake is not great customer service. This place has great food and we won’t let one bad experience keep us from coming back.

Response from the owner:Hi Nicole, I’m so sorry this happened to you and yes we have a challenging time timing when food arrives as you observed.Sometimes the sushi station is busier than the Chinese food being cooked in the kitchen & we prefer for the servers to bring the food out as it’s cooked so it’s hot & ready to eat. Unfortunately we don’t have enough staff to time the food being sent or held back. It’s something we deal with daily the best we can. Honestly, the server should have grabbed the manager themselves so that the issue could be cleared up & I’m sorry that wasn’t done. Thank you for not letting this stop supporting us.
